Yeow Ni Jia won the Malaysian crown in the KL Half Marathon on 4 October 2026. The race took place at Dataran Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur. Yeow, a homegrown endurance athlete, secured victory in the 18th edition of the event. The race featured a mix of local and international participants.
Debutant Esther Joy Chen won the women’s race. Chen, a new competitor, claimed her first title in the event. Singaporean runner Rachel See dominated the half marathon, finishing in the top positions. The race was part of the KL Standard Championship Meet (KLSCM) series.
The KLSCM has been a key event for Malaysian athletes for over a decade. This year’s edition highlighted local talent with Yeow Ni Jia’s win. The race attracted over 5,000 runners.
